What is Aluminum Die Casting ?

WHAT IS ALUMINUM DIE CASTING?

Aluminum die casting is a manufacturing process that produces accurately, defined, smooth and textured-surfaced metal parts. It is accomplished by forcing molten metals into a mold form due to low-pressure, high-pressure, or gravity systems.

The Aluminum Die Casting Process

There are two process in aluminum die casting. An aluminum furnace is the first step in the casting process. The aluminum furnace is equipped with the following to prepare a charge, which is a mixture of materials that are melted down to make a molten aluminum. After aluminum furnace process, we have to move alloys to casting process with ladle transport or ladle carrier. The next step is the casting process. The casting cycle begins with the two die halves are clamped tightly together by the die casting press. Molten aluminum is injected or poured into the die cavity where it solidifies quickly. There are many things that we could support in the aluminum furnace and casting process (low-pressure, high pressure, and gravity) :

  1. Aluminum Furnace

We could support some necessity in the aluminum furnace which is furnace manufacturing and services, under heater, degassing, fluxes, thermocouple, refractory, crucible and accessories, and transport ladle.

  1. Low Pressure Die Casting and Gravity Die Casting

In low-pressure die casting and Gravity Die Casting, we could support for die coating, protection coating, and stalk tube.

  1. High Pressure Die Casting

In high-pressure die casting, we could support for plunger lubricants, tooling systems, manual spray gun, die lubricants, platen repair, and air filter technology.

What Are The Advantages Of Aluminum Die Casting?

There are many reason aluminum is the most commonly cast non-ferrous metal in the world. The most popular reason for utilizing aluminum die casting is that it creates very lightweight parts without sacrificing strength. Aluminum die cast parts are corrosion resistant, highly conductive, have a good stiffness and strength-to-weight ratio. The aluminum die casting process is based on rapid production that allows a high volume of die casting parts to be produced very quickly and more cost-effectively than alternative casting processes.
